On April 8th as he was driving from Phoenix to Tuba City for the last part of his
Amizade Adventure, Lee detoured to Prescott to take photos for me of the mausoleum where Dad's ashes are interred. I've been there, but he wanted to take some photos for me. I couldn't remember the exact location, although I knew what the place looked like, so I found it on Google Earth and directed Lee there by phone. It was a fun way to find it.
The trees and plants have gotten bigger since I was there last, although it still looks bare to me. Lee talked with the pastors (both women), and Pastor Carol said they'd look into tidying the place up and making it look more cared-for. She said there had been a wind-storm recently, but the fountain looked abandoned, etc.
The mausoleum is between the two church buildings, and this side is facing the street.
Dad's plaque is the third one from the left (2nd row down).
This photo was taken from the church walkway on the 2nd level.
From the other side. Across South Summit Avenue is the historical park.
The United Methodist Church, Prescott, Arizona.
The church entrance is on the parking lot, while the back of the church faces the street across from the park.
Springtime.
